Tree Removal

Tree down right now? Call 478-972-8036. We answer around the clock, and we'd rather you called at 2am than waited until morning.

If It's an Emergency, Read This Part First

Call or text 478-972-8036. Day or night. If a tree is on your house, across your driveway, hung up in another tree, or leaning in a way that wasn't there yesterday, that's a call — not something to sit on until the office opens.

Before we get there, a few things matter more than anything we can tell you about tree work. If any part of the tree is touching a power line, treat the whole tree and the ground around it as energized. Stay well back, keep everyone and every pet inside, and call your power company or 911 first. Lines are their job, not ours, and no tree is worth finding out the hard way.

If the tree is on the house, get everyone out of the rooms underneath it and don't go up to look at the roof. If it's across a driveway or road, don't try to cut your way through it — a down tree holds a surprising amount of stored tension, and a chainsaw in the wrong cut turns it loose all at once.

Then send a photo if you safely can. JC can usually tell from a picture what equipment is needed, which means the right truck shows up the first time instead of the second.

What Counts as an Emergency

Not every tree problem is urgent, and we'll tell you honestly when something can wait. These can't.

🚨

Tree Down on a Structure

On a house, garage, shed, fence or vehicle. The longer it sits, the more water gets in behind it.

⚡

Anything Near Power Lines

Call your utility or 911 first. Then call us, and tell us about the lines when you do.

⚠️

Hanging or Broken Limbs

A limb caught up in the canopy can let go hours or days later, with nobody underneath expecting it.

🕐

A Lean That's New

If a tree is leaning further than it was this morning, the roots are moving. That one won't wait.

What Happens When You Call

You get JC, not an answering service in another state taking a message. He'll ask you a few quick questions: what's down, what it's touching, whether anybody's hurt, and whether there are lines involved. That conversation takes two minutes and decides what rolls out the door.

If it's genuinely dangerous, we move. If it's something that's stable and can safely wait until daylight — and plenty of things can — he'll tell you that too, and tell you what to keep an eye on overnight. We'd rather give you a straight answer at midnight than charge you emergency rates for a job that could have waited eight hours.

Once the crew is on site, the first job isn't cutting. It's working out what's holding what. A tree that came down across a fence and into another tree is a puzzle with tension in it, and the order things get cut in is the difference between a controlled job and a second accident.

And the cleanup still happens. Even on a 3am call, the job isn't finished when the tree is off the house — it's finished when the debris is gone and you can get your car out in the morning.

Emergency Tree Removal FAQ

A tree is touching a power line. What do I do?

Stay away from it and keep everyone else away — the ground near a downed line can be energized too. Call your power company or 911 first and let them de-energize it. Nobody should be cutting on that tree until they have, including us. Once it's clear, call and tell us lines were involved so we plan the work accordingly.

Is it more expensive at night or on a weekend?

Emergency work costs more than scheduled work — that's a crew getting out of bed and equipment rolling at an hour nobody planned for. What we won't do is hide it. You'll get the number before anything starts. And if JC thinks the job can safely wait till morning at a normal rate, he'll say so.

How fast can you get here?

It depends on where you are and what else is happening — after a line of storms moves through Middle Georgia, everybody calls at once. JC will give you a straight estimate on the phone rather than promising thirty minutes and showing up at daylight. If something else is more urgent than yours, he'll tell you that too.

Should I move my car or cover the hole myself?

Move vehicles if you can do it without going near the tree. Don't get on the roof, and don't try to tarp it yourself in the dark or in the rain — that's how people get hurt after the tree has already stopped being the danger. Let the roof wait a few hours.

Can I just cut it up myself?

Please don't, especially not a tree that's fallen or hung up. Down trees hold enormous stored tension, and a trunk lying across something is usually under bending load. A saw cut in the wrong spot releases it instantly. This is the single most common way homeowners get seriously injured in tree work.

Do you take photos before you start?

We can, and on a tree that's hit a structure we'd suggest you take some yourself before anything gets moved — wide shots and close shots, from a safe distance. We're not an insurance company and we don't file claims, but your own photos of how it landed are worth having.
